Hapoel Soccer kicks off fall season

Hapoel Soccer started its busy fall league last weekend with a number of good games in both the boys and girls divisions.

The sixth-grade-plus division saw Red take a 1-0 forfeit victory over Yellow. Evan Goldman got three goals and one assist and Jason Kardon added three goals to lead Green to a 6-2 victory over Purple. Yoni Broth got an assist in the victory. Jacob Black scored both Purple goals.

The Red team rolled to a 9-2 victory over Yellow in the fourth-fifth-grade division. Eli Shemtov led the way with six goals and two assists. Binyamin Broth added a goal and two assists while Moshe McNally (one goal), Jacob Glassman (one goal) and Mory Gould (one assist) also pitched in.

Ron Heifetz (one goal, one assist) and Ari Sporkin (one goal) scored for Yellow. Daniel Goldman (one assist).

Perry Ross got two goals to lead Green to a 5-2 victory in that division. Ethan Josovitz, Mikhael Hammer-Bleich and Shimon Idstein all scored a goal in the win.

Ezra Osofsky and Reuben Winston each scored a goal for Purple.

Aaron Weiss and Sam Weisman both got a goal to help Silver to a 2-0 victory over Blue, Sammy Merzel added an assist.

There was plenty of offense in the second-third grade division. Red routed Yellow, 11-1, in their game. Silver scored a 6-0 shutout of Blue, and Green earned a 4-1 decision over Purple.

For the Red team, Zachary Winters (four goals), and Benji Wilbur (three goals) led the way. Jake Ely (two goals), Yoni Eisen (one goal) and Raanan Glashofer (one goal) also pitched in.

Noam Roth notched the only Yellow goal.

Oren Eisenstadt scored five times in the Silver victory. Moshe Gottlieb added a goal and an assist.

For Green, Sammy Levitt led the way with two goals. Eli Soumekhian and Gavriel Yaakov Bernstein both scored once.

In the kindergarten-first-grade division, shutouts were the name of the game. Yellow blanked Red (5-0) while both Silver and Green scored 8-0 victories. Silver beat Blue and Green beat Purple.

Yaakov Robinson led Yellow with four goals and an assist. Ethan Myers got one goal and one assist.

Jeremy Ullman's six goals paced Green, and Benjamin Coplin helped with two goals and an assist.

The Silver team split things up more. Koby Goldschlag sparked the offense with three goals. Saadya Levin and Ari Siegel both got two, and Eitan Berman added one more.

Over on the girls' side, the Purple and Green teams played to a scoreless draw in the sixth grade-plus division. The Red team had an easier time, rolling to a 7-1 victory over Yellow.

Gabrielle Eisenstadt got four goals and an assist. Rose Osofsky added two goals while Aviva Lombardo and Daniella Eisenstadt both scored once.

The Yellow and Purple teams scored victories in the third-fifth-grade division.

Abigail Salamon led the Yellow to a 3-1 victory over Red with a goal and an assist. Hannah Ashe and Elyana Schwartz both scored once. Adielle Tuchman scored the Red goal, and Rachel Chittum got an assist.

Ilana Winter's two goals led Purple to a 4-1 victory over Green. Shana Lowenstein (one goal, one assist) and Rebecca Levine (one goal) also helped. Nesiah Ely got the Green goal, and Lexi Faleder added an assist.

The kindergarten-second-grade division saw Purple/Green score a 6-2 victory over Red/Yellow. Daniella Schwartz led the winners with four goals while teammate Sally Rogal added two goals and one assist.

Shifra Waskow scored both Red/Yellow goals.
