Hapoel Basketball

Hapoel pulled out a tough 15-12 victory over the Farmland Scarecrows in a Montgomery County basketball league game last weekend. Hapoel trailed at halftime, but rallied in the final minutes to score the win. Aaron Weiss came up with a clutch go-ahead basket, and Akiva Glashofer added a timely follow-up shot to put Hapoel in command. Danny Zweben led Hapoel with nine points. Weiss, Glashofer and Jacob Glassman all scored two points. Jonah Rifkin and Eli Horn both played well inside, doing a good job rebounding. This Sunday brings Hapoel to its final game. The team is scheduled to play the Thunder, the team that handed Hapoel a 19-10 defeat in its first game of the season.
