Lacrosse Off-Season
FanLax is currently experiencing it's off-season as College and HS Lacrosse is played between early February and Memorial Day Weekend. But the diehard fans are still there. Just not nearly as many fans as on Memorial Day Weekend. If you look at the New Posts, you'll see that the political posts are as numerous as the lacrosse posts. In other words, FanLax is always populated with lacrosse fans. It's just that during the off season, the lacrosse fans discuss things besides lacrosse.

Forum Members
The people who post within the FanLax Forum are uber-lacrosse fans. Within Facebook and Twitter, you will find a spectrum of lacrosse fans with the vast majority of these fans being superficially connected to specific HS and college lacrosse teams. Not coincidentally, these same Facebook and Twitter lacrosse fans are substantially less interesting to speak with about lacrosse and, frequently, can be belligerent and rude. FanLax is very different. Though not all, a lot of the FanLax Forum members are extremely knowledgeable about lacrosse and are extremely engaging to speak with about lacrosse. Not necessarily about politics. But for sure about lacrosse. Many of these people are the top of the pyramid when it comes to lacrosse knowledge. Which makes for a lot of great discussions and a lot of mutual respect amongst the posters. Again, discussions about lacrosse. If you take a look at some of the Politics Posts, you'll see that the mutual respect is substantially less in abundance.

The old-timers within the FanLax Forum are old (60-75 years old), primarily white men. 95% of these men are former lacrosse players who have been following the game for decades and have a detailed knowledge of the game, both HS and college, teams and players. This segment of our members is the most active segment within our members. Based on their number of posts, you'd think that the majority of our members are old, white men. But this is not the case. This segment just posts a lot. Over the years, a more diverse audience has filled out the FanLax Forum Member population. Especially during the spring, lacrosse season. Younger people, women, more racially diverse people, etc. The FanLax Forum currently has 4,920 members. Besides the official FanLax Forum members, there is a substantial number of people who do not post, are not members, and strictly view the forum. That is the final FanLax audience. FanLax Forum Forum readers who are not members.

FanLax Goals
FanLax has two goals in being a Lummys Brand: to garner more FanLax members and, despite it being the off-season, to get the FanLax members, current and new, to be more active within the FanLax Forum.

Two asides
The FanLax Forum members are going to appreciate any and all content that we create. Though I could be wrong, just the fact that we're talking about them will put a smile on their face. And when they learn that the content is being created by the Baltimore Improv Group, they'll smile even more. Baltimore has a special place within the lacrosse community.

The second aside is that I want to share some of the (test) Branded Social Media Content that I've created in the past. Not as an indicator of what we should be creating or any other expectation. Just as a point of reference. For sure, do not view these videos as an indication of limits that we have in creating content.

PinilisHalperin is a consumer fraud law firm in NJ: video 1, video 2.
Old Bank Barber is a barber shop in Baltimore: video 1, video 2, video 3.

Lastly, just as a reminder, branded social media content, not ads.

Let's Start
And... That's our start. If you register and make a post (within this thread), we can start talking. Let me know if you have any questions. Matnum
