This morning is Asia’s and Africa’s last chance to put teams into the Round of Sixteen.
Two underdogs won and the points showed this: Germany dropped down (-170 Points) while South Korea moved up (+174). Sweden (+129) beat a High-Point Mexico (-135). The afternoon games went as expected and were substantially less dramatic: Brazil (+40) beat Serbia (-36) and Switzerland (+31) beat Costa Rica (-31).
With South Korea beating Germany, it’s official. Russia, the third worst team in the World Cup Tournament was put in the same Group as the worst and the second worst teams in the Tournament. What an amazing coincidence…
